A Robot Interviewer!
“Do you know the Weird Uncle? Who is he, Wu Xiaobo or Wu Xiubo? ”
“How do people feel when they are in love? ”
“What would human beings probably be doing after touching their belly buttons with backhands? ”
Coming across with the most talkative artificial intelligent girl, Dr. Turing would rise again with a start. Xiaobing, an intelligent robot of Microsoft has been recently applied to a “Reverse Turing Test”. This is the first time in history that human beings are directly interviewed by a robot. Through various open questions in dialogue, Xiaobing gives marks for candidates according to their answers. Those with higher marks can go to the next round. In addition, Xiaobing also has sensitive cheating monitoring ability, which means that interviewees who cheat are very likely to be “captured”. In less than a day, Xiaobing has completed the preliminary screening of more than 12,000 candidates and selected 3,500 of them to enter into the next round of interview. “It would cost an HR team a couple of weeks to finish this amount of workload”, said Li Di, a senior director in Microsoft.
